Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to protect our organization’s systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. The role involves monitoring security posture, implementing security controls, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor systems and networks for security threats and vulnerabilities
- Implement and manage security tools such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and firewalls
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and remediation
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks and regulations (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, GDPR)
- Perform risk assessments and security audits
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and cloud teams to embed security best practices
- Stay updated with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices
- Experience with network, application, and endpoint security
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel)
- Knowledge of vulnerability management tools (Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite)
- Understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Security certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CISM, Security+, or OSCP
- Experience with cloud security posture management (CSPM)
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
